The PARMA Album of the Day: SURSUM

Michael Slayton released his debut PARMA album SURSUM on Navona Records in November of last year. The album presents Slayton’s six compelling compositions, where each is performed by a different ensemble or solo performer. These pieces are dreamy but focused, and equal parts smooth and dissonant – as well as the imagery that the music conjures. Cinemusical says “Slayton’s music has a fascinating blend of 20th-century harmonic writing that seems to have roots in a variety of modern expressions across the century.  And yet, it still feels new and unique with something to say in new ways.”

You can find the album on Amazon, iTunes, and ArkivMusic.
