Long-time PARMA artist Sergio Cervetti, seen on TRANSITS, UNBRIDLED, WIND DEVIL & CO., KEYBOARD3, and NAZCA AND OTHER WORKS, is today’s featured artist for ‘The Inside Story,’ a blog series exploring what makes our artists tick. Read on and get to know him!
What was your most unusual performance or the most embarrassing thing that happened to you during a performance?
I had a memory slip during the premiere of a piece by a little-known baroque composer, Froberger, if I remember correctly. I improvised for a few measures until the memory came back…no one noticed except my sister who had to hear the piece many times while I was practicing at home.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Playing computer games.
If you weren’t a composer/performer, what would you be?
A veterinarian, I love medicine and I love animals.
If you could spend creative time anywhere in the world, where would it be? And why?
In Paris of course. Because every arrondissement is like a little town. And I would not mind the glorious food. And because I speak French well.
Sergio Cervetti’s SUNSET AT NOON is available now on Amazon, iTunes, and ArkivMusic.
