PARMA Artist Event: Borromeo String Quartet Plays Cacioppo

This Sunday, April 6 at 3:00 PM, the internationally-acclaimed Borromeo String Quartetwill perform Kinaaldá: the Rite of Changing Woman by PARMA composer Curt Cacioppo at Haverford College as part of Haverford’s Concert Artist Series.  The piece, from LAWS OF THE PIPE (Navona), celebrates the coming-of-age ceremony of the Navajo.  Preceding the concert at 2:00 PM will be a discussion with Cacioppo and his mentor, Navajo spiritual leader John Co’ií Cook, who is from the Piñon/Upper Burnt Corn Valley region of Diné Bikéyah in Arizona.
