The Open Well-Tempered Clavier project seeks to record the highest definition recording possible of the Well-Tempered Clavier and put it into the public domain alongside open source software for those interested in studying the scores. PARMA pledges to release the project through Navona Records for those who want a physical copy. The team has almost reached their goal of $30,000 with just over $1000 to go. The second leg of the tour picks up October 12th in Germnay, and will make its way over to the US by the end of the month.
