NY-based composer Hayes Biggshas signed on to record his 10-minute septet “When You are Reminded by the Instruments” for Oboe/English Horn, Clarinet/Bass Clarinet, Horn, Violin, Viola, Violoncello, and Contrabass. This recording will be part of a future full release of his music.
Hayes is also a professional choral singer and has performed with the New York Virtuoso Singers among other groups. He’s a member of C4 (Choral Composer/Conductor Collective) and has been on the faculty of MSM since 1992.
Hayes’s music can be found on a previous PARMA release, Amy Briggs’s TANGOS FOR PIANO.
