What do you do?
I wear a couple of hats. I started composing music at age 9, and am an active chamber, jazz and choral composer. Additionally, work as a cultural planning consultant helping communities to bring culture and arts into public spaces.
Tell us about your Love and Death in Havana Project? Where did the title originate from?
I’d written Dearly Beloved for a family member’s wedding 5 years ago for women’s acapella choir. It’s a blending of the wedding ceremony and asides from the wedding couple and their guests.
